Dreams of Damanhur
Arranged along roads and pathways, and against trees and buildings, are large, terra cotta face sculptures, each two to three feet tall. Most are just one-sided with a hollow back, and without neck or body, but full of life and seemingly quite animated. Perhaps they keep the evil spirits at bay. There is something comforting about them, even the most ferocious looking.
